Thioxanthone photoinitiator that is used widely to sensitise other photoinitiators when used at 0.2-0.5 wt% in UV/LED curable formulation. DETX absorbs at 395 nm which makes it compatible in LED applications. ITX and DETX exhibit similar reactivity and are used almost universally in ink formulations.
