CTFA is a mono-functional acrylate monomer featuring a rigid alicyclic structure. This cage-like geometry contributes to low shrinkage during polymerisation and provides excellent hardness and thermal stability in cured films. The structure also supports resistance to yellowing and dimensional distortion.
With low viscosity and minimal odour, CTFA blends easily into a wide range of UV and EB curing formulations. It is commonly used to improve surface hardness, optical clarity, and adhesion to plastics or metals, particularly in applications requiring precise control over film properties.
