Thioxanthone photoinitiator that is used widely to sensitise other photoinitiators when used at 0.2-0.5 wt% in UV/LED curable formulation. ITX absorbs long wave UV which leads to good through cure, good adhesion and makes it compatible in LED applications. ITX and DETX exhibit similar reactivity and are used almost universally in ink formulations.
